Mike Bryant Sevenoaks Cricket Coach

Mike Bryant

Mike has Sevenoaks cricket running through his veins. He began his cricketing career at Holmesdale as a 7 year old and has played there every summer since.

As a junior player, he represented Sevenoaks District in every age group, and, after completing his schooling at Skinners', he played 3 seasons for the University of Nottingham 1st XI. After university, Mike travelled to Melbourne, Australia and represented Boronia CC as their overseas player for a season.

Now, at the age of 26, Mike is the Holmesdale CC Junior Coordinator (having coached at the club for 10 years) and the 1st XI vice-captain and opening batsman. In addition to this, he is an 'outstanding' Year 5 teacher and Assistant Head of Boys' Games at St. Dunstan's College Junior School, London.

All of this experience, both playing and educationally, has made Mike an engaging, progressive and exciting coach who can make cricket enjoyable for every child, no matter what their ability.

While at university, he played for 3 years at Durham's Centre of Excellence, playing 6 first class games and 3 University finals at Lords. Luke went on to represent Kent and Northants CCC 2nd XIs, before he toured Sri Lanka and India with Great Britain Universities as part of a Red Bull All Star Team.

Luke has been representing Sevenoaks Vine in the Premier League for a period of time now and is a member of the MCC.

Luke at 23, is now dedicated to passing on his knowledge and experiences in the game to young players of all ages and abilities in the Sevenoaks area, in a fun and supportive environment.
